A GROUNDBREAKING NEW MULTI-DISCIPLINARY SERIES

INTERSECTING AND LINKING

PHILOSOPHY, LITERATURE AND CULTURAL STUDIES WITH

CONTEMPORARY LITERARY, CULTURAL AND AESTHETIC THEORY!

Crafted by Hugh J. Silverman (Executive Director of the International Association for Philosophy and Literature), the exciting new CONTINUUM SERIES: TEXTURES: PHILOSOPHY/ LITERATURE / CULTURE explores dimensions of CURRENT THINKING in contemporary continental philosophy, literary study, aesthetic theory, film, art, video, and architectural theory in a dramatic new way. Linked to the annual conferences and activities of the International Association for Philosophy and Literature, this series brings to fruition the results of these IAPL events in thoughtfully conceived and articulate studies of DYNAMIC TOPICS for the present day.

Each book is CAREFULLY SHAPED to include volume editors’ General Introduction outlining the theme and topical area, Introductions to each of the thematic sections, a detailed set of notes and list of publications linked to the project, a comprehensive bibliography and notes on the contributors of each volume. Contributors include both highly visible and well-known figures in the field as well as younger scholars with new insights into the topic.

These books are great for COURSE ADOPTIONS and will be a wonderful asset to any personal library, college or university collection. IAPL Members are encouraged to consider using them in their courses.

They are designed to be LASTING STATEMENTS on SIGNIFICANT INTELLECTUAL ISSUES of our day.

The following volumes were officially published in 2003 as part of the Textures Series by Continuum Books (London and New York).
