The IAPL mourns
the loss of Dominique Janicaud,
Professor of Philosophy at the University of Nice (France),
a dear friend and colleague, plenary speaker and subject of
a special Close Encounter on his work at IAPL 2002. Dominique
Janicaud died on August 18th, 2002 upon emerging from his habitual
swim in Eze on the French Riviera. Among his many publications,
he had just completed the massive two volume study Heidegger
en France (Albin Michel, 2002). A session will at IAPL 2003
will focus on the "shadow of his thought." |
