Amy Ziering Kofman is producer and co-director with Kirby Dick of Derrida: The Movie (2002). Ms Kofman studied with Jacques Derrida in a doctoral program at Yale University during the 1980s and has taught classes on his work.
Derrida represents her directorial debut, a film that she and Kirby Dick spent over five years making, shooting it in both Paris and the United States.
She most recently produced the critically acclaimed feature-length documentary Taylor's Campaign, which takes as its focus the race for a seat on the Santa Monica City Council by one of its homeless residents.
